Every game is from an English-friendly region (US/WORLD/PAL regions in that order), pre-patched with a translation patch, or it is a Japanese exclusive that is playable without needing a translation. I just tried to get a nice mix of classics and hidden gems based on years of playing retro games, critical scores, and reviewing a bunch of top games and hidden gems lists. I didn't go with X roms per system, or the top 100 according to some list. These are the rom sets that I use when building devices for myself or for friends.
